Vancouver Fishing Report for September 19, 2011

We still have some prime salmon and sturgeon fishing dates available so if you are interested please contact us at info@fishinginvancouver.ca or by telephone at 778-389-FISH. The salmon and sturgeon fishing has been excellent this past week on the Fraser River and it’s tributaries. Despite the poor water clarity in the Fraser River itself, most of our salmon fishing efforts have been focused on the Harrison river and Chilliwack River. Jigs have been our lures of choice for spin fishing, and small pink flies for fly fishing. All clients who have been interested in keeping quotas have done so in the past week, as well as releasing many others.

Sturgeon fishing has been pretty good so far this month, some days are better than others but most 8 hour charters have been putting over 10 Sturgeon to the boat, with our biggest this month measuring out at 8’1”. Fresh pink salmon roe has been our bait of choice!

The Vancouver saltwater fishery has been very productive this past week around the mouth of the Capilano and West Vancouver shoreline. Every charter has been hooking 5-6 chinooks with some cohos and pinks mixed in as well.
